Questions, answered
How SiteSonar identifies companies, what the Sonar Reading means, and how the trial and credits work.
Data and identification
How does SiteSonar know which company visited?
Each visit's network address is matched to the business it came from. Home internet, mobile carriers, bots and your own staff are filtered out before anything else happens.
Does SiteSonar identify individual people?
Only when they identify themselves to you, through a form on your site or a link in an email you sent. We don't buy, guess or append personal contact data.
Why not show the person behind every visit?
Guessing a person from a network address is unreliable: on an office network hundreds of people share one address, so you get the right company and the wrong person. A wrong name next to a confident lead makes the whole lead look wrong.
Why are some visitors not identified?
Visitors on home internet or mobile networks often can't be tied to a company. SiteSonar leaves them unnamed rather than guessing.
Leads and the Sonar Reading
What is the Sonar Reading?
The grade on every lead. It reads verdict first, then signal, such as "Initiate · Contact". The verdict (Ignore, Investigate, Initiate) is what our agent decided after investigating the company. The signal (Noise, Echo, Contact, Lock) is how strongly the visitor behaved like a buyer. Together they set one action with a due date.
What does "Investigate" mean?
Our agent thinks there may be a path it couldn't see. It runs a second, targeted check, then shows a person what it checked and where it got stuck, so the review takes a couple of minutes.
What if a company the agent ignored fills in my form?
Strong behaviour is never skipped. An Ignore verdict with a Lock signal is flagged "Review today", because it may be a referral, a new application or something the agent missed.
Can I correct a reading?
Yes. Every reading shows its evidence and the link in the path where a company stopped, and your corrections improve your profile.
Does SiteSonar contact my visitors?
No. SiteSonar hands leads to your team, your CRM or your AI tools. Follow-up is yours.
Setup and trial
How do I start?
Start a free trial: create your account with your work email and the website you want to track, then add one tracking tag to your site. The signup page checks for the first visit so you know it works.
How long is the trial, and do I need a card?
Fourteen days, and no credit card.
Does it work alongside Google Analytics?
Yes. The SiteSonar tag runs independently of other analytics tags.
Is SiteSonar only for manufacturers?
It's built for industrial sellers, and it works for any B2B company whose buyers research on your website before they talk to you. Your profile tells SiteSonar what you sell and who buys it.
Pricing and credits
How is SiteSonar priced?
Per website, plus credits for the agent's work. Tracking and company identification are included in the plan.
What do credits pay for?
Reading a visitor's website (once per company, then cached) and investigating its path when a company shows new activity. Bots, internet providers, job seekers and ignored companies never use credits.
What happens when credits run out?
Visitor alerts keep flowing. Path investigation pauses until you top up or the month resets.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. Agencies can run every client from one account with a shared credit wallet.
